A new Treasury website

Treasury's new website

On 17 April 2012, Treasury released its new website. As you can see, the new Treasury website has an improved design, more powerful search capability along with the latest Treasury information. Some of the features of the new website include:

  • A fresh design which makes the latest Treasury news easily accessible from the home page as well displaying the information viewed most often by visitors
  • Easier to use navigation menus, including dedicated policy topic pages with more detailed policy information about the work Treasury does in each area
  • More powerful search functionality, allowing you to find information by publication type and/or policy topic
  • A dedicated area for the many consultation processes that Treasury undertakes allowing visitors to easily identify open consultation processes
  • Easy to use filters allowing you to refine search results by keyword, topic/sub-topic and year and the ability to sort those search results by a number of different fields
  • New online forms allowing you to easily make submissions to Treasury consultations or register an FOI request

The design of the new website was based on research done by Treasury's Publishing Unit in conjunction with feedback gathered from users through various surveys and card sorting exercises.

This is the first phase of the website redevelopment and older content will be moved to the new website over coming months. Older content is still searchable from the new Treasury website and those search results will take you to the content on an archived version of the previous website. You can view older content on the old Treasury website at http://archive.treasury.gov.au. Content will be removed from the archive site as it is published on the new site.

If you would like to provide feedback about the new site, please contact our webmaster.
