Australia and Germany Sign Revised Tax Treaty

Australia and Germany have signed a revised tax treaty which, following its entry into force, will replace the existing Australia-Germany tax treaty signed in 1972. The revised treaty, the Agreement between Australia and the Federal Republic of Germany for the Elimination of Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion and Avoidance and its associated Protocol was signed on 12 November 2015 by the Finance Minister, Senator the Hon. Mathias Cormann, and both German Finance Minister, Dr Wolfgang Schäuble, and German Minister of State, Professor Maria Böhmer.

Australia and Switzerland Sign Revised Tax Treaty

Australia and Switzerland have signed a revised tax treaty which, following its entry into force, will replace the existing Australia-Switzerland tax treaty signed in 1980. The revised treaty, the Convention between Australia and the Swiss Confederation for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and its associated Protocol was signed by the Assistant Treasurer, the Hon David Bradbury MP, and Switzerland’s Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency Mr Marcel Stutz, in Sydney on 30 July 2013.
