On 8 December 2005, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, the Hon Chris Pearce MP, announced that the Government will proceed with legislative reforms to improve rules for shareholder meetings. The announcement followed an extensive consultation period. Submissions are invited by Friday, 12 May 2006.
