Abstract: |
The Governments of Australia and New Zealand have signed a Convention for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and Fringe Benefits and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion. The new tax treaty replaces the existing treaty signed in 1995 and its amending protocol signed in 2005. The new treaty was signed by the Minister for Trade, the Hon Simon Crean MP, and the New Zealand Minister for Trade, Tim Groser.
