On 17 March 2010, the Minister for Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law, the Hon Chris Bowen MP, introduced the Insurance Contracts Amendment Bill 2010 (the Bill) and its Explanatory Memorandum to the House of Representatives.
The Bill passed the House of Representatives but did not pass through the Senate before it lapsed as a result of the federal election in August 2010.
